Oz is the founder and managing partner of Catena Investment Partners (CIP), overseeing the firm’s strategic direction, deal origination, and structuring. With over 30 years of corporate and entrepreneurial experience, he specializes in driving growth and performance in technology-driven businesses. His career highlights include leadership roles at DIRECTV, LogicaCMG (now Mavenir), and Sonifi, as well as entrepreneurial ventures with Zinica Group, Bitvore, and Migway. Oz has spearheaded innovation in satellite communications, fintech, SaaS, and AI-driven enterprise software. He also advises startups, including Fuego Esports, the top Esports organization in Colombia and the first professional Esports group in the Caribbean. Oz earned his undergraduate degree from Vassar College and dual master’s degrees from Erasmus University in the Netherlands. A native of Curaçao, he lives in Los Angeles with his wife and three children.
Kevin Sample is co-founder and partner of CIP and financial executive with over 30 years of experience in commercial banking, institutional investing, investment banking, and private equity. He is a founder and Managing Partner at Opus Capital Partners, a Dallas-based private investment firm focused on building high-performing middle-market businesses through strategic advisory expertise, capital solutions, and partnerships. Previously, he was Managing Director of Erasmus Advisors’ $350M private equity funds and held senior roles at Walton Johnson & Company and TIAA-CREF. Kevin has served on multiple boards, including Miller Building Systems and Johnson Products, and is involved with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He holds a B.A. from Morehouse College.
Norman is co-founder and partner of CIP. He is responsible for corporate development, due diligence and deal origination. Norman brings over 30 years of experience leading technology-driven businesses. He founded Hall International Partners BV, pioneering a peer-to-peer institutional trading platform headquartered in Amsterdam, with offices in Hong Kong and San Francisco, achieving a monthly trading volume of $250M USD. He also founded Hall/CEM, a leading Pension Fund Consulting Firm in Europe, increasing assets under advisory by $1 trillion for KPA Advisory Services. Recently, Norman collaborated with Covenant Venture Capital in New York, advising technology-driven founders on balancing private equity risk with venture capital returns. His portfolio expertise spans security, deep tech, wireless technology, and Agri-Tech. Norman holds a BA in Quantitative Analysis & Financial Management from the Catholic University of America.
Oscar L. Coen is co-founder and partner of CIP and an executive with extensive expertise spanning technology, finance, telecommunications, healthcare, and energy. As Co-Founder and CEO of Yupi Internet, he raised $110M, leading to its $500M acquisition by a Microsoft/TELMEX venture and its integration into MSN Latino. He has driven growth and acquisitions across roles at Microsoft, Telefónica, MED-TEK, and eLandia Group, and recently secured a Power Purchase Agreement boosting energy production in the Dominican Republic. Co-founder of fintech ZINICA Group, Oscar holds an MBA in International Finance and a Graduate Degree in Public Accounting from St. John’s University.

Harry Hopper is a co-founder and partner of CIP, and a Forbes Midas List venture investor with over 30 years of experience in launching, funding, and advising high-growth companies in communications, media and technology. As a Managing Partner at Columbia Capital, he was a key part of overseeing $2B+ across four funds and served on numerous boards, including Equinix and MetroPCS (now T-Mobile US). Harry has also founded and led ventures like Digital Television Services and Sky Broadcasting, and successful exits to major firms like Verizon and AT&T. An active investor, he holds a B.A. and J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley.
